There is a lot going on with the Run the Flood after party! Best part is – it’s all free, whether you participated in the race, volunteered for the race or are here to support downtown and flood recovery!
7:00 - It all starts at 7AM! Come to Greensquare Park to register for the race, pick up your race packet, or cheer on your friends and neighbors participating in the event! The morning begins with a live remote from Z102.9 in Greensquare Park. Join the DJ’s for music and pre-race announcements to get ready for the big event!
9:00 – Get Ready, Get Set, GO! Race Starts at 9AM! And if you are not participating in the race, don’t worry, dozens of other activities start at 9:00 as well. For a full listing of all the vendors and activities happening in Greensquare Park, visit the vendor page.
9:30 – The music will not stop in Greensquare Park after the live remote from Z102.9! There will be live music starting at 9:30!
10:00 – We like music, but we believe in variety…at 10:00 the second community band will take the stage for performance.
10:30 – Stick around in Greensquare Park after you’ve finished the 7 mile or 2.5 mile routes because the third band will take the stage at 10:30AM.
11:00 – You don’t want to miss this! Please help us honor and recognize dedicated community volunteers with our volunteer award presentation and the check presentations to our charity organizations: Block by Block, Cedar Valley Habitat for Humanity, and Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation.
11:30 – And last but certainly not least, there will be one more community band to wrap up the Run the Flood event and Recovery Party.
