Whether you are cheering on the race participants, or volunteering with the race, or just want to support downtown and flood recovery, please join us at the Recovery Party. There will be fun festivities for people of all ages, including:

Inflatables for everyone! The bounce house will be great to let the young kids bounce around in! The inflatable rock climb and slide is a great option for kids who are looking to burn some energy! Who says inflatables are for kids only?!  The bungee run is an inflatable saved for the adults looking to have some excitement!  And the baseball pitch can be highly competitive or family-friendly…see if you have potential to be the next pitcher for the Kernels!

  Funny Face Designs completes beautiful “full face design” face painting. It is all done free hand… no stencils are used. There are a wide variety of designs for boys and girls.  The paint and glitter is high grade, professional, FDA approved.  All designs are  easily removed with simple soap and water.  Funny Face Designs has painted faces at The Play Station, Usher’s Ferry, University of Iowa Children’s Hospitals, the YMCA, several area elementary schools, and numerous private birthday parties. The time and materials are donated to several area charities. The mother and daughter team will be at the Recovery After Party to paint twice as many faces. The cost $5.00 per face.

Cedar Rapids Daybreak Rotary is renewing a community-wide, family-friendly, affordable, fun and unique event designed to benefit Eastern Iowa organizations that focus on helping children and families. The third annual “Great Eastern Iowa Duck Race”, patterned after a successful duck race held in Cedar Rapids during the 1990’s, will benefit Four Oaks, the Boys and Girls Club, and Polk Elementary School.
